If something has characterised Macshsa since we started our path on the world of sports timing is that we haven’t stop growing, we always go for more and we believe that all the boundaries can be broken thanks to innovation and hard work. The award that we received from the Catalan Sports Cluster, Indescat, reinforeces thtat we are on the right path.
Indescat organized their 4th edition of the Business and Sport awards, which recognize the Catalan projects in 3 different categories: Partnership, innovation and internationalisation. The ceremony was held on the 30th of November at the Olimpic and Sports Museum Joan Antoni Samaranch in Barcelona, there were more than 100 attendees from an institutional, business and sporting background.
Macsha won the award in the category of internacionalization, which recognises international development and growth. How did we manage to win this award? Easy, we are in more than 18 countries with distribution agreements in United Kingdom, Australia, Argentina, Chile and a couple more on their way, and our company’s exports will account for 48% of our turnover in 2016.
Between the atendees we can highlithg Anna Pruna, president of Indescat; Jordi Baiget, minister for enterprise and knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Gerard Figueras, secretary general for sport of the Generalitat de Catalunya; David Escudé, sports commissioner of the Ajuntament de Barcelona, and Gerard Esteva, president of the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya.
And now? We want more! It’s almost the end of the year and this award is only more motivation for us to go that extra mile. 2017 will be a year full of challenges for Macsha, but we are sure that we’ll keep on innovating and being leaders on the timing system market. 2017 will bring with new products, event and, of course, new awards!
