September, a Month Full of Races on the Iberian Peninsula

There were all kinds of timing events this September, and once again, we lived up to our promise: #WeTimeEverything!

The number and the diversity of events in Macsha’s yearly calendar is huge, however, this month stands out as the most intense one. It goes without saying that this doesn’t slow down Macsha’s team. Every weekend, our team of Barcelona Timers, travels to towns and cities in Catalonia, to do what they know best: get impeccable results.

Here’s what the main events in September are all about:

On Sunday the 3rd, we started a new cycling challenge called “the fire route”, in quite a unique setting, the Pyrenees. There were two routes through the beautiful village of Barruera and its surroundings: a long-distance race (133 km, 2.950m +) and medium-distance race (85km and 1,725m +).

We timed this event with a cycling set up: at the start/finish line, we set up our One4All X8 and 6 aerial antennas that were mounted onto a metal arc. At each checkpoint there was a One4all 4.0 combined with 4 side antennas.

Last weekend, we’ve been to Tossa de Mar’s Triathlon with two distances: Sprint and Olympic, according to the regulation of the Catalan Triathlon Federation. The participants had the possibility to compete either individually or in a relay race. The rain hasn’t stopped the entire afternoon, but Macsha’s team worked hard so that the participants who reach the goal get their deserved results.

This was the set up: at the water point, we used lateral and ground antennas. In the floor antennas case we set up two 2m lines plus two lateral antennas on each side, to reinforce the timing because of the water. At the checkpoints, the entrance and the exit from the Boxes, we used: 4m ground antennas with two lateral antennas on one side, and 2m ground antennas with 2 lateral antennas on the other side. At the 2m finish line we used ground antennas and two lateral antennas. We used One4All 3.0 and 4.0 for timing.

On Friday the 16th, Macsha will time a 15 km night mountain race in Collserola natural park. The departure and the arrival will be at the TIBIDABO amusement park. Set in a unique and magical environment, this is an event for runners who like night runs in the nature.

This is the ninth edition of the legendary P2P Pamplona Skate Marathon Bridge. Year after year there are more enthusiasts from all over the world that don’t want to miss this international event.

The P2P starts in the historic center of Pamplona, in the emblematic Plaza del Castillo. Walk through the most important streets of the city until you reach the Zizur Mayor village. After passing by Zizur Mayor, you leave the city behind and go through incredible natural landscapes and rural areas.

The 39th CARRERA POPULAR DE SAN MIGUEL will be held on September 24th, as a part of the Molins de Rei Festival. MACSHA will time this race with over 3000 participants, for entire families and different ages, where the parents can also run with their children.
